Vitola Privacy Policy

Vitola is a cigar inventory and rating app for adults 21 and older. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. Your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider; we never see your password).
Content you add. Cigars in your humidor and wish list, quantities, prices you enter, purchase notes, ratings, tasting notes, flavor tags, pairings, column names, and photos you choose to attach.
Questions you ask. Text you type into the Explore tab, along with a summary of your ratings and humidor so answers can be tailored to you.
Band photos. When you scan a cigar band, the photo is sent for identification.
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing activity, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising.
How we use information
To provide the app: storing your humidor, ratings and photos and syncing them across your devices.
To identify cigars from band photos and to answer Explore questions.
To look up retail prices and stock images for cigars, using the cigar's name only.
We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

We share information only with providers that run the app on our behalf:

Shared catalog
Cigar names you add (brand, line, vitola and similar details) become part of a shared catalog that other Vitola users can search. Your humidor, prices, notes, ratings and photos are private to your account.
Retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, humidor, ratings, wish list and photos. Cigar names you added to the shared catalog remain, without any link to you.
Children
Vitola is intended only for adults 21 and older and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
